Highly recommended to visit this place for its BBQ beef and cold noodles. They tasted so great. The only thing is that the restaurant would want you to leave within a certain time. And they will come to your table to say bye bye even if you are not done with your food 😅

I couldn’t really justify the price of the meat, and never had it, so I will be reviewing just in terms of the main cold noodle dish. It’s perfect. I’ve visited multiple times with my friends, and I always crave it. Sure, it’s a bit pricey and the wait times can be quite aggravating, but if you avoid those peak times it’s like the Korean version of chicken soup for the soul, except with a clear beef broth. The kimchi is also excellent to pair with.

Sunday wait Got there at 530pm. Wait 2hrs. 100 numbers. Had a drink across the street at micro vinyl house. I think the people who came at 7-715pm to queue would’ve been smarter elsewhere 430pm. 530pm was peak wait on a Sunday. We cleared everything on our table so it was worth it. The bulgogi sauce has a nice sweet tang to it and is so good.

I ordered the Pyongyang buckwheat noodles! They came within minutes and were very tasty. First time trying North Korean food, which was interesting! Easy to find and a nice atmosphere. It’s been open since 1946!

Michelin star Korean beef BBQ. Taste are so good. I used to be here 13 years ago and taste are the same. Bulgogi here is my favorite. You have to get the cue from the register box in front of the restaurant by using Korean phone number or if you do not have please go inside to tell the staffs for the cue. Avoid peak time is better chance to get the table. Seating area are big so it do not took so long for waiting. Serving are also quick. English menu are available. Credit card accepted. Enjoy !

Absolutely superb noodles! The balance of firmness and chewiness was perfect 👌, and its nuttiness was fantastic 💥 The broth had so many layers of flavour with slightly ligering umami. I didn't need any extra seasoning. It was extremely busy and high turnovers, but the staff were pretty attentive and prompt. I returned as I had to take my husband to taste the goodness. He indeed agreed with me how fantastic the noodle and the balance of the broth were.

Pyongyang style Naengmyeon (Cold Noodles). Surprised that there are galbi (ribs) roasted alongside. Long queue for waiting but it’s worth it for a 80 years restaurant

We were here for our last day in Seoul and just stumbled across this place the day before. We saw that it was a machine outside that let's you be put on a waiting list for that day. But unfortunately you need a south Korean telephone number and we diden't have that so we came back the next day and manage to get a reservation. The food was absolutely amazing and I do recommend that you try this restaurant out if you are in seoul.

I was in line for two hours at Woo Lae Oak, but it was worth every minute. Their famous Pyeongyang naengmyeon is subtle, refreshing, and unlike any noodle dish I’ve had before. The icy broth with chewy noodles feels simple at first, but the depth of flavor really grows on you.

Wow, just wow! I was super lucky to go with a local friend, so we got to skip the crazy queue and honestly, I totally get why it’s so popular. I’m not super used to Korean food, but everything I tried here was insanely good. The flavors were just next-level, fresh, clean, and perfectly balanced. The cold noodles especially blew my mind… so refreshing and unique, and you can actually taste every single ingredient without anything being too strong. It all just worked together beautifully. This place is unforgettable. Totally worth the wait, and if you’re anywhere nearby, do not skip it! One of those meals you’ll be thinking about long after you’ve left.
